Taylors, S. C. – Bonnie Lee Johnson Robertson, 89 passed away Wednesday November 30, 2011 at 10:30 p. m. at her home. Mrs. Robertson was born 28 January, 1922 in Sneedville,Hancock, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband Horace Harden "Humpy" Robertson and her parents Ellis Daniel Johnson, Sr. and Ibbie Jane Stapleton Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her sisters "Ruby" Mae Johnson Fowler and her husband "Donald" Sylvester Fowler, "Pearl" Margaret Johnson Mostiler and her husband George Emmett "Skinny" Mostiller, Arkie "Marie" Johnson Bledsoe and her husband "Claude" Coonie Bledsoe, and her brothers Ellis Daniel "Chick" Johnson, Jr. and his wife "Lucy" Bernadette Ballerini Johnson, and "Elmer" Hugh Johnson and his first wife Sarah "Coot" Pilkington Johnson, Elmer's second wife "Evelyn" Scruggs Johnson survives.
She is survived by her Brother-in-law Charles Everett Edward "Humpy" Robertson who she raised as her son and his wife "Doris" Marie Henderson Robertson. She is also survived by her daughter Vilma "Jane" Robertson of the home, son Joel "Keith" Robertson and his wife "Linda" Darlene Sims Robertson of Gaffney, S. C., and son Johnnie "Johnnie Rob" Johnson Robertson of Boca Raton, Florida. 5 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren! Many favorite nieces and nephews!
Mrs. Robertson's family moved from Sneedville, Tennessee to South Carolina in the late 1920's. She was raised in the Clifton Mill community where she attended school.

She was married to Horace Harden "Humpy" Robertson on 11 August, 1945 in Spartanburg, S. C.
She worked for Spartan Mills for many years as a weaver where she was active in Union activity until her retirement. She was a former member of the Spartanburg Fireman Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Eastern Star. She was a former member of Saint Andrews United Methodist Church of Clifton, S. C. where she taught Sunday school for over forty years and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Greenville, S. C.
Mrs. Robertson was an accomplished cook and baker and for a time after her retirement assisted in running a catering business. She was famous for her cakes and other recipes. She worked tirelessly for many years assisting her husband in fund raising for the Shriners Children's Hospitals!
A special thank you to Dr. Jim Burford for the special care he gave to her for many years and also to her many other doctors and health care providers for the loving care they provided her! We sincerely appreciate the special care provided to our mother during her last days by Lutheran Hospice of Greenville.
The Robertson family wishes to thank the many friends of our family for the love and kindness you have shown mom and our family over the many years she was part of our lives!
The family will receive friends at Floyds Mortuary Greenlawn Chapel - 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg 29307 Sunday December 4, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Monday December 5, 2011 at 2:00 p. m. conducted by Rev. Kevin Smith and Chaplin Garry Clevenger. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joel Robertson, Michael Robertson, grandsons; Carlos Osorio, Clay Robertson, Dusty Hollifield, RELATIVES and Robby Pace (FRIEND) .
