Henry Garland "Pete" Spinks, of 3139 Delbert Lane, Siler City, died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, Seagrove. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a World War II veteran and a member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church.
Surviving are wife, Dorothy Cheek Spinks; children, Ethelene Isley of Raleigh, Henry Spinks of Asheboro, Howard Spinks, Earl Spinks and Darlene Bartell, all of Ramseur, Thurman Spinks of Bonlee, Alvin Spinks of Julian, Wilma Johnson, Randy Spinks, Cecil Spinks, Kenneth Spinks and Casey Spinks, all of Coleridge, Jeff Spinks of Sanford; brother, Ray Spinks of Ramseur; sisters, Ruth Staley of Ramseur and Lucy McSwaim of Seagrove; 48 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren.
