Marjorie M. Schaeffer, 81, Kokomo, died Saturday, June 16, 2007, at Howard Regional Health System Kokomo. She was born Dec. 5, 1925, in Connersville, to Robert and Mildred Holten.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Tim Goins, Kokomo; son, Gordon C. "Porky" Schaeffer Jr., Kokomo; grandchildren, Sara Potter, Tucson, Ariz., and Robert Weir, Kokomo; great-grandchildren, Jessica Weir, Alek Weir and Little Dalton, all of Kokomo, and Peri Richardson, Tucson, Ariz.; stepgrandchildren, Penny Goins, Mark Goins and Rodney Goins, all of Kokomo; stepgreat-grandchildren, Brandy Conner, Ashley Skoczylas, Brandon Goins, Jordon Goins, Andrew Goins and Jarad Goins, all of Kokomo; great-great-grandchild, Leah Conner, Kokomo; sister, Eula Pointer, California, and Betty Person, Florida; long-time best friend, Linda Turner; and friends, Donna Clark, Diana Parson and Jennifer Inabnett.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon C. Schaeffer; sister, Ethel Moore; brother, Harold Holten; and one granddaughter, Jaime Lee Schaeffer.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., with Pastor Doug Benhan officiating. Burial will be in Albright Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services Wednesday at the mortuary. Messages maybe e-mailed to [email protected].
