On July 9, 2009 at 1:20 a.m., heaven opened wide to welcome a faithful daughter home from a long journey. Nancy Elisa Bowser went to be with her Lord, only 3 days before her 75th birthday.Nancy leaves behind Jack, her husband of 54 years, her son Jack Jr. and his wife Elena. Survivors are daughters, Jill Munsell, Cindy Kelley, Mary (John) Lancaster, Sally (Brian) Eltzeroth and Patricia (Virgil) Weitzel. Grandchildren and great grandchildren include: John Munsell Jr., Jenny Munsell, Evgeniya Khovanova, Elisa Kelley, Nicholas Weitzel, Madelyn Montgomery, Skylar Munsell, Lacey Lancaster, Amanda Eltzeroth, Mitchell Eltzeroth, Aja Munsell Stucker, Anneliese Weitzel, Harli Munsell Stucker, Jacelyn Lancaster and Benjamin Weitzel. Also, two sisters, Sandra Grant and Carol Brown and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her brothers, Michael, Gordon, and Jerry Schaeffer, and three sisters, Margie Geary, Lucille Fellow, and Ruth Bitner.

Through the years Nancy worked with the public in many capacities from the family business where she was known to many as Mrs. Mini Jack. In recent years, she enjoyed her work in the kitchens of Central Middle School, Lafayette Park and various nursing homes. She was a member of the Brookside Free Methodist Church and the Kokomo Senior Citizens Center. She was also a long time customer and friend of the north end Marsh store. Nancy loved to spend time swimming and playing games. She enjoyed spending time with her extended family, church family and euchre friends from the Eagles, VFW and the Sharpsville Lions Club. Nancys journey in life ended suddenly after complications from undiagnosed heart problems. Her lifes motto was, There are no strangers, only friends I havent met. This was evident to everyone who had ever met her.

Viewing will be at Ellers Mortuary on Webster Street, 3400 South Webster Street, Graveside burial at Albright Cemetery followed by a memorial service at Brookside Free Methodist Church, 190 East 400 South in Kokomo, with Rev. Doug Benham officiating
