Clara Beatrice Gossage Whirlow, 105, died Friday, May 14, in Memphis.
Services were Monday, May 17, at First Baptist Church in Electra under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home. Burial was in Old Electra Cemetery.
Mrs. Whirlow was born March 5, 1894, in Illinois. She was married to Charles Whirlow in 1927 at Electra. He preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1964.
She was retired from Electra Steam Laundry and a member of First Baptist Church and the Crochet Club. She was a former resident of Hamilton.
Survivors include a son, Thomas H. Seay of Estelline; two daughters, Imogene Owen of Las Cruces, N.M., and Francis Harris of Hamilton; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
