Samuel George Bell was the youngest of nine children born to Samuel Bell, Virginia and Janet Jean Allison, Pennsylvania. Names and birth order of these siblings are:

1. Martha Kirk Bell, b: Abt 1807 in Augusta County, Virginia
2. Frances Sterrett Bell (Sellers), b: January 1809 in Augusta County, Virginia
3. Eliza A. Bell, b: Abt 1811 in Augusta County, Virginia
4. William Henry Bell, b: 1813 in Augusta County, Virginia
5. Mary J. Bell, b: April 11, 1815 in Augusta County, Virginia
6. Sarah Baskins Bell (Sellers), b: 1820 in Augusta County, Virginia
7. James A. Bell,
8. Rachael L. Bell, b: 1824 in Augusta County, Virginia
9. (Samuel George Bell, b: 1827 in Augusta County, Virginia)

According the 1850 US Census of Augusta, Virginia, at age 24, Samuel was a peddler. In 1840 his father had written in his will of his own desire that Samuel "excel in farming". In the 1860 census Samuel is listed as a farmer. Apparently, he was farming in Augusta County, Virginia before 1859 when he married eighteen year old Mary Johnson, of Virginia. The couple moved from Virginia to Missouri after the 1860 US Census of Augusta, Virginia was taken but before the birth of their first child in 1861. Children born of their union include:

1. William Henry Bell, b: February 2, 1861 in Missouri
2. Nannie Elizabeth Bell, b: June 8, 1863 in Shelbyville, Shelby County, Missouri
3. Ella M. Bell, b: 1865 in Kirkville, Adair County, Missouri
4. James Lucien Bell, b: Feb 22, 1867 in Kirkville, Adair County, Missouri
5. Lydia J. Bell, b: 1872 in Kirkville, Adair County, Missouri

The 1900 US Census taken on June 8, 1900 in Ozark Township, Webster County, Missouri shows Samuel G.Bell, born in Virginia to Virginia-born parents residing in the J.L. Bell household. He is listed as the 74 year old widowed father of Head of Household, J.L. Bell. No occupational status is shown for Samuel.

Samuel is not listed with son, James' household on the April 1910 US Census of Greene County, Missouri. There is only James and wife, Emma M., 45 and daughters Irene, 11 and Huldah M., 4.

The 1920 US Census of Beaver County, Oklahoma does not show Samuel G. in the household of James L. Bell, b. 1867 Missouri. James is living with wife, Margaret E. and two daughters - Irene, 20 years old and Huldy M., 11 years old.

I have not been able to find this Samuel G. Bell (b: 1825 Virginia) in any Oklahoma document. It is most likely that he died before 1910.
