Roy Jamerson 95, of Bakers Creek, Burnsville died Friday, August 7, 1992 in a Spruce Pine Hospital. A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late John and Melita Jamerson and the husband of Minnie Bell Silvers Jamerson who died in 1991. He was a World War I Army Veteran and a retired farmer and logger.
Surviving are a daughter: Irene E. Jamerson Hensley of Morganton; two sons Harold W. Jamerson of Green Mountain and Charles C. Jamerson of Burnsville; a sister Zettie Jamerson of Burnsville; two brothers; Lester Jamerson of Johnson City, Tenn. and Aldie Jamerson of Jonesborough. Tenn.; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, August 10, 1992 in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. The Revs. Perry Norton and Royce Ball will officiate. Burial will be in the Cane River Baptist Church Cemetery.
