Asheville - Jeanne Dorothy Boliek, 49, of Asheville, died on Sunday, October 25, 2009.

A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Ms. Boliek was a daughter of John Theodore Goshorn, of Asheville, and of the late Dorothy Hill Goshorn.

Ms. Boliek had lived in North Carolina for a number of years, and was a Senior Police Officer with the Asheville Police Department, where she had worked for 26 years. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her sister, Janet Marotta and husband, Ed, of Branford, Conn.

A memorial service for Ms. Boliek will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave., with Chaplain Sue Barron officiating. Her family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Serving as Honor Guard will be the Asheville Police Department.
