Grace E. Hintz, 85, Shawano, passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, in Shawano. Born on May 5, 1924, in the town of Pittsfield in Brown County, she was the daughter of the late George and Lydia (Londo) LaCount. In 1940, she was united in marriage to Frank Antone Bukowiec in Sobieski. He preceded her in death in 1943.

On May 30, 1950, she married Bruno S. Passon in Gladstone, Mich. He preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1974. On May 8, 1976, she married Ervin Hintz in Shawano. He preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 1988. Grace worked at the Toy & Shoe Factories in Pulaski, as well as The Shawano Canning factory, Eagle Knit and the Patio Restaurant in Shawano. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. In her free time, Grace loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed keeping track of the family bowling scores. She also enjoyed reading, watching the Cubs, and Packers, and was a Brett Favre fan.

Grace is survived by one daughter, Carol Passon, Waupun; eight sons, Frank (special friend, Linda) Bukowiec, Cecil; Keith Passon, Malone; Michael (Sharon) Passon, Shawano; Eugene (Linda) Passon, Shawano; Kenneth (special friend, Valerie Pryzbylski) Passon, Stevens Point; Jeff (Joyce) Passon, VanDyne; Kevin (special friend, Carrie) Passon, Oconomowoc; Charles (Beth) Passon, Florida; two stepsons, Peter (Lori) Hintz, Shawano; Paul (Sue) Hintz, Shawano; stepdaughter, Mary (Ron) Laude, Pella; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Grace was also preceded in death by two sons, Gary Bukowiec, Robert Bukowiec; daughter-in-law, Karen Bukowiec; three grandchildren, Eric Passon, David Passon, Bradley Bukowiec; great-grandson, Austin Bukowiec; five sisters; and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano with the Rev. Len Evers officiating. Burial will be in the St. John the Baptist Cemetery in the village of Howard. Family and friends may call at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday after 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A Parish Wake Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
