Andrew J. Weaver, aged 85 years, a resident of Van and a veteran of the Civil War, died at his home [sic ] on Friday. He served with Company I - 108th Regiment - 11th Pennsylvania Volunteer Calvary, during the closing two years of the war.

He is survived by three sons, Charles of Tulsa, Okla., Frank [Francis Allen ] and Collins A. Weaver of New Castle. A daughter, Gertrude Weaver Boyd, a graduate of the Oil City hospital training school in the class of 1898.

He is also survived by one brother, Joseph Weaver of Van, two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Kinsley of Petroleum Center, and Mrs. Namoia Criswell of Nickleville, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services in his memory will be conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Van Free Methodist church. Interment will be made in the old Valley cemetery.

Funeral services in memory of Andrew J. Weaver, aged Civil War veteran, who died at his home in Van[sic] on Friday, will be conducted at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Van Free Methodist church.

Interment will be made in the old Valley cemetery.
