Funeral services for Curtis Eugene Goodman, 52, of Bay City will be held 4 pm Friday at First Baptist Church with Dr. W. D. Baker officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Van Vleck.
The family will receive friends and visitors from 7-8:30 pm today Bay City Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Goodman was born Aug. 26, 1936, in Bristol, Tenn. To David L. and Lucille Fleener Goodman and died Feb. 15, 1989, at Matagorda General Hospital, Bay City.
Mr. Goodman was employed at Phillips Petroleum Refinery in Sweeny for 25 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he was a deacon, Adult III Sunday School member, choir member and served on many committees.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Goodman of Bay City; Mark Goodman of Bay City; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Scott Evans of Bay City; parents, Mr. and Mrs. David L. Goodman of Sweeny; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Aldin M Morrell of Bristol, Tenn.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Charles Young of Austin and Doris and Charles Allen of Houston; and a niece and nephew, Lisa and Brent Allen.
Pallbearers include Glyn Kinsey, W. E. (Bill) Ehlert Jr., Andy Anderson James Sowell, Gerald Rowland, Albert Mann, Norman Vestal and Charles Hardin. Honorary pallbearers include the Deacon Council of First Baptist Church, members of the Adult III Sunday School Class and Dr. James Cowart, Dr. Joe Cannon, Frank Allen, Dr. Hollie Briscoe, Rex Quinn, Bill Correll, Gaston Morton, the Rev. Charles Sheppard, Ron Eaton, W. H. McGonagle, Jack Bulter, Martin Conroy, Milton Fenley, James Page and Bill Loomas. The Daily Tribune
