Charles Edward Langan, 43, of Metuchen, died Thursday, March 12, 2009, at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in Metuchen all of his life. He was a security guard with S O S Security in Parsippany for the past eight years. He was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen. He was a Civil War and Revolutionary War Buff.
He was predeceased by his father, George, in 2001. Surviving are his mother, Audrey Kennedy Langan of Metuchen; a sister, Barbara Smith and her husband Thomas of Ypsilanti, Mich.; three brothers, George and his wife Sherry of Oceanside, Calif., William and his wife Karen of Helmetta, and Donald and his wife Philomena of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five nieces; and four nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 15 at Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen. Funeral services will be at 9:45 a.m. Monday, March 16 from the funeral home, followed by a 10:15 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Francis Cathedral. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, New Brunswick.
