Barbara Ann Springer Upp

Barbara Ann Springer UPP, 64, of 320 Madison St., Rochester, died at 12:05 p.m. Sunday at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.
Born in Constantine, Mich., she was the daughter of Johnie Springer and Ella Springer Wallace. In 1947, when she was 5, she moved to Rochester from Massachusetts. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1960.
She graduated from the House of James Beauty College in 1961.
On June 9, 1968, she married David Upp in Leiters Ford.
She was employed by Superior Sample for 18 years.
A member of the Busy Bells Home Ed Club, she was a basket maker and enjoyed collecting baskets, sewing and reading mysteries.
In addition to her husband, who survives at home, she is survived by a son, Jerry Upp, Rochester; a sister, Kathie Adams and husband Kevin, Rochester; a brother, Charles Wallace and wife Anna, Lafayette; a sister-in-law, Connie Wallace, San Diego, Calif.; lifelong friend, Vernellee Reffitt, Rochester; and nieces and nephews, Shelby, Joe and Chris Wallace, Kelsie and kallie Adams, and Mike and Jennifer Wallace. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Clifton 'Butch' Wallace, in 2005.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be at IOOF Cemetery, Rochester. Memorials may be made to Hope Hospice of Fulton County, Fulton County Historical Society or Fulton County Transpo. Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, has been entrusted with her arrangements.
