Perry James Reeves, 87, a resident of Bay City passed away September 8 at the Maragorda General Hospital. He has been a residnt of Brazoria and Maragroda county for 70 years and was a successful farmer and rancher until his retirement. He was also a member of the Brazoria Lodge No. 327 and the First Baptist Church of Bay City. Surviros include: wife, Mrs. Marguerite Reeves of Bay City; daughters, Mrs. Lurline Pool of Old Ocean and step daughter Mrs. Bettye Bodenburg of Bay City; sons J.T. and P.J. Jr. of Bay City, and M.G. Reeves of Hasima and Byron Carter, step son of Bay City. Funeral sevices were held Monday, September 10, 1973 at 4 p.m. at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home with W.D. Baker officiating. Interment was at the Roselawn Memorial Park with pallbearers being: Charles Pool, Britten Sewell, Jimmy Reeves, Morris Richardson, James Sewell, and Garland Richardson.
