DANBURY – S. G. (Junior) Priddy, Jr., 87, of 2128 Pleasant View Church Rd, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009, at his home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Monday, November 16, 2009, at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Sandy Ridge. Interment will follow at North View Primitive Baptist Church cemetery in Danbury.

Junior was born on November 5, 1922 in Stokes County to the late Snider George Priddy, Sr. and the late Susie Smith Priddy. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran serving with the 69th Infantry Division and received the purple heart. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled Veterans of America. He was owner of Priddy's Motors for many years. He enjoyed rebuilding cars, showing Tennessee walking horses, motorcycling, traveling, and music. He was a member and deacon of Oak Ridge Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Smith and Truman Priddy.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Lois Hawkins Priddy of the home; two sons, Larry Priddy and wife, Shelia, of Lexington and Wade Priddy and wife, Pam, of Danbury; a daughter, Dawn Priddy Boren and husband, Gray, of Pleasant Garden; a brother, Zane Priddy and wife, Nancy, of Mocksville; a sister, Nancy Priddy Warren and husband, Jerry, of Winston Salem; six grandchildren, Josh Priddy, Nicholas Priddy, Audrey Boren, Dylan Boren, Page Priddy, and Chris Priddy; three great-grandchildren, one step great-granddaughter; and a special friend, Lester Pulliam.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Sunday, November 15, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel in Sandy Ridge, NC and other times at the residence.
