Angelo Piedmont, 93, passed away Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Allied Services Nursing Home, Scranton. Born in Scranton on September 11, 1916, he was a son of the late Francesco and Maria Piedmonte.
He was a retired construction worker and a US Army veteran of WW II, having fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
Angelo was the widower of Margaret Piedmont and is survived by two nephews, Samuel A. Sica of Mechanicsburg and John A. Sica of New Market, MD and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg where there will be a viewing from 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Chester P. Snyder will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
