OBIT-Relatives have received word of the death of Mrs. Lola Mae (Horoho) Knowlton in a hospital at Terrell, Texas, after an illness of several weeks.

She was born Sept. 22, 1883, near Greentown, the daughter of Hugh and Eudora (Waddell) Horoho. She was married Nov. 15, 1905 to Ernest Knowlton, who died in July, 1938.

She was a former school teacher, having taught in schools in Greentown and Jackson township, and for a time during World War I when her husband was in military service, she taught in Columbian School, Kokomo.

Mrs. Knowlton was a member of the Christian Churh at Corydon, where she had lived several years. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star, and of Harrison County, Grange.

After the death of her husband, she had gone to Texas to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Mull.

Other survivors are an adopted son, John Knowlton of Iowa; three brothers, Creath Horoho of Greentown R.R. 2, Owen of Greentown R.R.1 and Ernest, who is in Veterans Hospital, Dayton, Ohio; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A son, Lavon,and a brother and a sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be a 2 p.m. in the Christian Church at Corydon, and burial will be in the cemetery there.
