Thomas Henry O'Brien, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jame E. O'Brien, was born May 7, 1912 in Mason City, Iowa.
He attended St. Augustin and Columbus Grade Schools. He lived in Austin all his life until he moved to St. Paul, Feb. 1, 1966. He was united marriage with Harriet Wheeler, on Nov. 12, 1938. He was associated with such organizations as the VFW, American Legion, FOE, Red Cross, and he was a Civil Defense director, past president of the Eagles, past commander of the American Legion, and sang professionally for many years.. He was employed by Hormels until World War II, when he went info his own business.
Thomas O'Brien passed away Dec. 14, in his St. Paul home, after suffering a lingering illness.
Funeral services were held Dec. 16 at Mayer Mortuary with Msgr. Robert Jennings, Rev. Charles Quinn, and Rev. Nelson officiating. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery.
He is survived by his widow, Harriet; one daughter, Mary Seviar, Winona; mother, Austin; Twin brother, Tim, Austin; two sisters, Mrs. James (Alice) Sheehan, Fort Wayne, Bind.; Mrs. B. L. (Winifred) Sheedy, Fort Snelling.
Out-of-town friends and relatives came from Madison, Wis; Minneapolis, St. Paul, Albert Lea, Winona, Owatonna, and Rochester.
