Deceased Name: James H. Fisher

James H. Fisher, 37, of 429 Durham Drive, Ruther Glen, Va., formerly of Lavelle, died suddenly Thursday in Ruther Glenon.
Born in Ashland, Nov. 10, 1962, he was the son of Willard Fisher, Lavelle, and the late Gisele (Fix) Fisher, who died June 1999.
He served with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1980-1994, was a 1980 graduate of North Schuylkill High School, and was a member of the Cold Springs Hunting Club, Center County.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are his wife, the former Yukimi Taira; a son, James Jr., and a daughter, Gina, both at home; sisters, Genevieve Manbeck, Frackville, and Doris Oertner, Tamaqua; a brother, Daniel Fisher, Northampton; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, with the Rev. Michael Eck officiating.
Interment will take place in Citizens Cemetery, Lavelle.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
