Allen Rayfield Cobb left this world with pearly gates in his path. He was a native of Alabama and was a longtime resident of the Gulf Coast in the Woolmarket area. He graduated from Frisco City High School in Frisco City, AL. He previously served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired civil service from Keesler AFB. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Biloxi and was active in Bro. Robert Carlisle's Men's Fellowship Group and in Camp Bluebird.
Mr. Cobb was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Cobb; and a sister, Mary Weaver.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alice Melinda Cobb of Woolmarket; two daughters, Tonya Michelle Deegan of Birmingham, AL, and Amanda Irene Cobb of Woolmarket; a son, Shane Alexander Cobb of Woolmarket; three sisters, Sandra Wilson of Mobile, AL Anne Brown of Frisco City, AL, and Jean Bodiford of Greenville, AL; three brothers, Walter "Buddy" Cobb of Woolmarket, Edward Cobb, Jr. of Megargel, AL, and Clifford Allen of Mobile; four grandchildren, Aiden and Evan Cobb, and Tiffini and Tyler Vann; and several nieces and nephews. He was dearly loved and will be missed but never forgotten.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on O'Neal Road in Gulfport. The funeral service will be Thursday, November 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Woolmarket Cemetery
