Charlie Jacob Wilson, 74, of Junction City, died Nov. 28, 2007, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Dec. 1, 1932, in Forkland, KY, he was a son of the late Harlan Jacob and Amanda Etta King Wilson. He was a pipeliner and heavy equipment operator, and retired from Environmental Construction Co. of Lexington. A member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church, he was an honest and loving husband, father and friend. In addition to his wife of 54 years, Doris Jean Walls Wilson, he is survived by two daughters, Brenda K. Lane (Bobby) Marcum of Parksville and Vickie (Lloyd) Bowling of Junction City; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, Jeffrey Wilson and David Elder; seven brothers, Thelbert, Hobert, John, Ocoia, Bernard, Albert and Norman Wilson; and five sisters, Nellie Stephens, Margaret Richardson, Stella Wilson, Etta McKee and Victoria Cordell. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday [2nd] at Stith Funeral Home and Family Center in Junction City by the Rev. Ernest Fields Jr. and the Rev. Keith Willoughby. Burial will be in Wilson's Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Saturday at Stith Funeral Home and Family Center, Junction City.
