In 1910, according to the 1910 U.S. Census, Ida was living on Muddy Cut Road, Kanawha Station, Clay District, Wood County, West Virginia. She was living with her parents, George & Lula Leasure, her siblings, Goldie, Georgia, Julia, Blanche, Pearl, Hazel, and Fred. Her half brother, William and Grandmother, Barbara Frazier Lemaster also lived with them. Her parents owned a farm. She attended the Muddy Cut Road School.
She married Walter Arden Lee Sr. on 4 June 1917 by Pastor B. F. Byrd, a Baptist Minister, at his residence (Kanawha Station, Wood, West Virginia). Together they had 13 children:
Clara Elizabeth Lee: 1918-2015
Merle Marie Lee: 1920-1920
Harlan Erwin "Bud" Lee: 1921-1977
Thelma Louella Lee: 1923-2012
Kenneth Arden Lee: 1925-1987
Paul Francis Lee: 1926-2000
Betty June Lee: 1930-2002

Mary Alice Lee: 1933-
Ronald Eugene Lee: 1935-
Donna Jean Lee: 1937-
Milford Leroy Lee: 1938-
Walter Arden Lee Jr.: 1940-1995
In 1920, Ida lived on Kites Run Road, Clay District, Wood County, West Virginia. Ida & Walter, her husband, owned a farm there. Her daughter, Clara was 2 years old at this time. Ida was pregnant with Merle who was born on March 22, 1920.
Walter divorced Ida in 1943 in Wood County, West Virginia.
On May 13, 1948, Ida married Claudie Nichols in Washington County, Ohio. She divorced him a few years later.
After her divorce, Ida took a bus to Grant County looking for Walter and several of their children. She didn't have enough money to make it all the way there, so the bus dropped her off before reaching Scherr. As she was walking, she got thirsty and went down by a creek to get a drink. When she was done there, she apparently fell and hit her head. Not sure how long she laid there, but during that time she passed away.
On November 6, 1955, Ida's remains were found in a Swampy Ravine about 50 yards off a State Road in Scherr, Grant, West Virginia after the Liller's, (family who took in some of the Lee children), dog drug a bone to their house.
She is buried in the Lee Family Plot of Walker Cemetery, Walker, Wood County, West Virginia. Buried with her are:
