Hubert Berst, second son of Francis Jr. and Rosa Berst passed away at home from tuberculosis. The sad news of Mr. Berst's death cast a shadow over the whole community. The young man was taken away to grace another world in the early years of manhood. During his illness, especially the last few weeks of which he was confined to his bed, he was a very patient sufferer, but all that loving hands could do availed naught.
The deceased was born in Ossian, Iowa, Oct 28, 1888 and was united in Marriage April 25, 1910 to Theresa (Tracy) Sabelka.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10:00 in St. Johns Church. The pallbearers were Edward Doubek, Adolph Doubek, Lee James, James Puffer, Jacob Kubish, and John Krivachek. Pall bearers were Modern Woodmen, of which the deceased was a member.
