The graveside service for J. W. Watson, 70, of Athens will be at noon today at Limestone Memorial Gardens with Don Osborne officiating and Spry Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Watson died Thursday, October 15, 2009, at home.
He was born February 6, 1939, in Lawrence County, Tennessee.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Athens. Mr. Watson retired from 3M. He was a member of the Alabama National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Elaine Watson of Athens; sons, Howard Watson, Scott Watson and wife Laura, all of Elkmont; sister, Linda Hicks of Athens; grandchildren, Noah Watson, Magan Goetz and Shaunna Goetz; great-grandson, Connor; and several nieces and nephews.
