Funeral services for John R. Duval, 65, 506 E. Atlantic street, former policeman (Lt. Detective) who died Wednesday after an illness of three months, will be held at All Saints Episcopal church at 2:30 Saturday afternoon with Rev. Arthur Ward in charge. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
Masonic services will be held at the Brettschneider Funeral home at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
Duval, who served on the Appleton police department from 1914 to 1942, was a member of Waverly Lodge No. 51, F. and A. M., Appleton; a member of Lodge No. 47, Royal Arch Masons, for 25 years; a member of the Green Bay Council No. 13, R.S.M.; member of Baraboo Knights Templar Commandery, No. 28; a thirty-second degree Mason of the Madison consistory; member of Fidelity chapter No. 94 of the Order of the Eastern Star; of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Appleton Aerie No. 574; and a life member of the International Police Protective association.
In addition to the widow, he is survived by one son, Albert, Appleton; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Pratt, Washington D.C.; a brother, Charles Duval, Marshfield; and one grand-daughter.
Friends may call at the Brettschneider Funeral home from 7 o'clock this evening until the funeral service.
