Clarence Horst Martin, 71, of 21904 Ringgold Pike, Hagerstown MD, passed away, Sunday, October 11, 2009, at the Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown. Born Sunday, December 5, 1937, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Lewis S. Martin and the late Fannie Horst Martin. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Stouffers Mennonite Church. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charlotte M. Martin, three daughters, Sonja L. Diller & husband Dale of Chambersburg, PA, Bonnie S. Horst & husband Ray of Waynesboro, PA, and Jean M. Martin and husband Jason of Como, NC; three sons, Barry D. Martin & wife Janice of Smithsburg, MD, Terry L. Martin & wife Sonya of Hagerstown, MD, and Ed R. Martin & wife Gina of Waynesboro, PA; four sisters, Louise Petre of Hagerstown, MD, Lela Martin of Waynesboro, PA, Rhoda Strite of Hagerstown, MD, and Ruth Martin of Hagerstown, MD; one brother, Leroy H. Martin of Hagerstown, MD; twenty seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Nelson Martin and Elmer Martin. Services will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at 10:00 AM, at the Reiff Mennonite Church 17433 Reiff Church Road, Hagerstown, MD with the Stouffers Mennonite Church Ministry officiating. Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, Maryland from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 13. Interment will be in the Reiff Mennonite Church Cemetery, Hagerstown, Maryland.
