Gospel preacher, professor at Lipscomb University, and listed in Preachers of Today, Vol. 1, 1952, 233. Dr. Miller taught Bible and Hebrew at Lipscomb University for 25 years. He co-authored commentaries on Psalms and 1st and 2nd Kings, wrote articles and Annual Bible Study Lessons for Gospel Advocate, numerous Biblical tracts, including an online commentary on Psalms, and was working on Isaiah at his death. He was baptized by Robert Turner, June 1937. He married Frances Evelyn Tyree and they had four children. He began preaching in Urbana, IL in 1944. He received a BA degree from David Lipscomb. He preached for the Thyatira, MS church 1948-51. He preached for the Ripley, MS church of Christ from 1951 until June 1955.

Dr. Clyde Miller ('48), retired professor of Bible at Lipscomb University, died September 16, 2008. Survivors include his wife, Frances (Tyree '46) Miller, daughter, Teresa (Miller x '71) Pitney, sons, Dennis Clyde Miller ('72, DLHS '68), Stephen Miller ('78, DLHS '74), and Anthony ‘Tony' Miller ('89, DLHS 85) and a sister, Alma Merrifield. Nine grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren survive him also. -- Lipscomb University.
