Pearl Flache, age 105 of Austin, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016. She was born on a ranch in Pecos County Texas in 1911. Pearl graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics in 1937 and worked as a teacher for the Federal Farm Security Administration. She met John Flache while at Texas Tech and they married in Midland in 1937.

Pearl and John made their home in Lamesa, Texas for many years where they raised 2 daughters. They moved to Lakeway in early 1970 where she played golf and pursued her love of gardening and just being outdoors.

John died in 1980 and a few years later, Pearl moved to a Senior Living Facility where she lived for 24 years, making many new friends along the way and sewing for friends and Any Baby Can.

Pearl is survived by her daughters, Carole Kimbrell of Austin and Judi Hall and her husband, Gerry of Austin; granddaughter, Shelley Shults, her husband Mike and their sons, Christopher and Jonathan of Flower Mound; and grandson, Jeff Hall of Austin.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Senior Minded Home Care for their devotion and care for our Mother for the past year. Thank you Mark, Brenda, Jessica, and Beverly. Also a special thank you to Leslie, Mary Ann, Jill, Jorge, and Lisa for their kindness and care.

A Celebration of Pearl's Life will be in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Rosemary Grattan officiating.
