Oliver was the son of Jacob & Rebecca J. (Carpenter) Bauman. In 1919, Oliver was married to Hannah Hazel Robinson in Delaware County, OH. Oliver & Hannah parented three children between the years of 1920 & 1928, one daughter & two sons: Ray Wilbur Bauman (who was married to Audrey Agnes Bauman) & James Richard Bauman (both also buried at Oak Grove Cemetery). According to Oak Grove Cemetery records, Oliver was a veteran of WWI & was later employed by the Delaware County Highway Department.
