Hoyt was the son of Raven Marshall Edwards. He married Carolyn Sue (Kivett) and they were the parents of of three sons: Clifton Darrell, Roger Dale and (son).

ALAMANCE - Mr. Hoyt Edwards, 73, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 1995.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Alamance Memorial Park with Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Burlington in charge of arrangements.
