Mrs. Tinsley, who was born in Fruita, Colo., died last Wednesday.
She grew up in Fruita and then studied accounting at the University of Colorado.
She married Ishmael Tinsley in 1942, and the couple divorced in 1968.
She then lived in Denver briefly before moving to Orange County, Calif. She stayed there six years.
Mrs. Tinsley moved to Havelock, N.C., in the early 1980s to be near her sister.
She completed an accounting degree and worked as an accountant for the city of Havelock. She retired in 1990 and moved to Arcata, Calif., living there until moving to Sandpoint in 2002 to be near family.
Survivors include two sons, Duane Tinsley of Thomton, Colo., and Michael Tinsley of Careywood, Idaho; a sister, Helen Gleckner of Sun City, Calif.; a brother, Raymond Reed of Moreno Valley, Calif.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pauline "Paula" Tinsley, born as Pauline Lenore Reed on July 10, 1924 in Fruita, Colorado. Paula graduated high school in Fruita, married I.W. Tinsley, moved to Denver, gave birth to four children (Cathleen Ann, Janita Sue, Duane Lee, and Michael Ray), and later divorced.
Her career took her to southern California and North Carolina. Her love of nature and family took her to northern California and Idaho (where she passed away on March 16, 2005).
She was preceded in death by her parents (Ted and Nellie Reed), her sister (Bernice Speaker) and her daughters (Cathleen and Janita).
She is survived by her brother (Raymond Reed), her sister (Helen Gleckner), her sons (Duane [spouse = Linda] and Michael [spouse = Linda]), her grandchildren (Jennifer Wyckoff [spouse = Darcy, children = Christopher and Amanda], Joseph Tinsley [spouse = Sabrina, children = Sierra and Tanner], Michelle Burdette [spouse = Ryland], Marie Lane [spouse = Lance, children = soon to be born baby Lane], and Melissa Tinsley).
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, accounting/finance professional and friend.
She was deeply loved and will be missed.
Graveside services, Thursday at 1:30pm at Highland Cemetery 10201 N. Grant St., Thornton, Colorado. 80233
