They married on February 23, 1946, and made the Seattle area their home for over 58 years. Clint had a variety of occupations, including being a business owner, and he retired from Seattle Steel. He enjoyed the Mariners and the Seahawks, and he seldom missed a game broadcast. He also loved puttering around his home and garage, always improving what engineers had designed.
