6. Ruthia A. Winesett

10. Mary Hazel Winesett Lineberry
11. Annie Bell Winesett Lineberry
12. Walter Steven M. Winesett
13. Fannie Lougay Winesett Sharp
14. Bonnie Grimes Winesett

She was the daughter of Jeff and Rebecca Bryant Edwards.

Melia was a great cook and the family loved her pies and cookies. She was also very tough and not afraid of anything. Once she walked in the middle of the night to a cemetery to see what caused a light. It turned out to be hunters camping out. This was at least a mile or two from her home in Sheeptown. She grew up in Woodlawn, Va. When she married Sam they lived in Sheeptown. Then he and his dad sold their land and she packed up and moved the family over the mountain to Monorat, Va. This was in about 1911.

After moving over the mountain, the children went to the old McGee School for their education. They grew up and had families of their own.

Her grandchildren also went to the McGee School. In the afternoons she would meet them at her mail box where a table was set up. She had baked a snack for them that included either cookies, pies, or cake and I am sure something to drink. They have fond memories of her waiting on them in the afternoon. She was a great cook like her Mom.
