LUDWIG – Anna Jean (Truxal), 93, Millersville, Md., passed away peacefully Sept. 19, 2009, at her daughter's home, after being in declining health for several months. Born Anna Jean Truxal on Dec. 6, 1915, in Johnstown, to Marcellus Truxal and Isabel (Berlin) Truxal. Jean or A.J., as all of her many friends called her, has lived in Maryland since 1963. She was employed by Westinghouse M.E.D. (later A.T.L.) as one of the first inspectors for the new division. She retired in 1980 as a lab aid at the Space Division. In retirement, she liked to knit, read and watch Hollywood musical classics. Faithful member of Christ Lutheran Church in Baltimore. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ludwig; son, Robert Ludwig; and brother, Charles "Jack" Truxal. Survived by daughter, Patricia L. Swayze, Millersville, Md.; son, H. Donald Ludwig, Sykesville, Md.; brother, Mark Truxal, and his wife, Wilma, Columbus, Ohio; and sister, Lois James, Columbus, Ohio. Also survived by grandchildren, William, and his wife, Karen, Parkton; Douglas, Monkton, and fiancee, Kimberly Morton; Terry, Harrogate, England; and Jennifer, Arbutus. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the family-owned Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, P.A., 421 Crain Highways SE, Glen Burnie, Md. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at Christ Lutheran Church, 701 S. Charles St., Baltimore, Md. 21230. Interment service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, Md.
