William Thomas Elschide is the son of George Edward Ball and wife Margaret "Maggie" Ehlschide. After their divorce for some reason Maggie's parents Peter Ehlschide and wife Nancy Elizabeth Wilcox adopted William "Willie". He married first to Jesse Mae Wilcox in about 1917, they had 4 children. Jesse passed away in January 1936 and is buried in Old Dovey Cemetery in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, He then married Freda V. Krepps in 1936 in West Virginia. They did not have any children. The Elschide family in Kentucky spelled their name Ehlschide. Some who moved to Indiana spell their name Elschide.
