Joyce Ann Stephens, 56, Harrisonville, died Sept. 14, 2009, at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City.

She was born July 28, 1953, in Harrisonville, the daughter of Elmer David and Betty L. (Drehle) Street.

She was a lifelong resident of Harrisonville and a 1972 graduate of Harrisonville High School. She was a member of Grace Christian Tabernacle in Harrisonville. She was a childcare provider for many years.

Preceding her in death were her father; an infant daughter, Melissa; and a brother, Carl.

Surviving are a son, Dustin Stephens, and a daughter, Tonya Stephens, both of Harrisonville; her mother, Betty Street, Harrisonville; a brother, Roy Street, Harrisonville; and a sister, Helen Howell, Harrisonville.

Services were Sept. 16 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.

Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery, Harrisonville, under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
