PINEY FLATS, TN - B. Louise Baird, 83, stepped in Glory on Sept, 10, 2009. She was a native of Hawkins County, and a long time resident of Sullivan County. She was the daughter of the late William A. & Pearl Newberry Russell. Louise accepted Jesus as her Savior at an early age and was a member of Piney Flats First Baptist Church of Piney Flats, TN. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dana C. Baird; her daughter & son-in-law, Phyllis & Jim Holtz; her sister, Verdia Knox; and five brothers, Arthur, Franklin, Elmer, Clifford and Otis Russell. She is survived by two sons, Dana (Danny) C. Baird Jr., & wife, Teresa, Pastor C. Dwayne Baird & wife, Sharon; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends. Services will be held Sunday, Sept. 13th at Piney Flats First Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m with services beginning at 7 p.m Dr. Allen Davis will be officiating. Committal services will be at Glenwood Cemtery, Bristol Tennessee on Monday, Sept. 14th at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Piney Flats First Baptist Church Building Fund, 100 Cherry Street, Piney Flats, TN, 37686. Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home.
