Zora S. Price, 88, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2010. A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Reverend Lonzo Phillip Strickland and Minnie Self Strickland.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, PFC Howard Moore, who died in 1944 while serving in the US Army during World War II, and her second husband, Alton James Price, who died in 1988; five sisters; and three brothers. Zora was a lifelong resident of Spring Creek where she and her second husband operated Price's Grocery.
She is survived by a daughter, Evelyn Price Morris, and her husband, Ron, of Hot Springs; one son, Reverend James Howard Moore, and his wife, Eva, of Hot Springs; two grandchildren, Judy Higel and her husband, Chris, and Jeffery Moore and his wife, Crystal; five great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on September 28, 2010 at Lusk Chapel Baptist Church in Hot Springs with the Rev. James H. Moore, the Rev. Gerald Morris, and Jeffrey Moore officiating.
Burial will follow at Woody Cemetery.
