Barth Margaret A, 77, of Kendallville, died unexpectedly Tuesday in her residence. She was born July 14, 1919 in Fort Wayne to Bacil and Ethyl (Waters) Downend. On March 20, 1937 in Albion she married Robert J. Barth. He died June 21, 1980. A homemaker, she was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Surviving are 4 daughters, Sandra Smith of Grabill, Cynthia Allen of Albion, and Linda Smith and Janet McIntosh of Fort Wayne; 2 sons, Roger J. of Kimmell and Duane M. of Fort Wayne; a sister, Virginia Arlic of Fort Wayne; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita; a brother, Glenn Downend; and a grandchild. Funeral Monday in Immaculate Conception Church, Kendallville. Burial, Ege Cemetery. ^ 5-6-1997
