Edward Twentyman, age 100, passed away Sunday evening, February 15, 2009 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Edward was a member of the United Methodist Church of Waukegan, Illinois. Following 47 years of service, he retired from Abbott Laboratories where he was employed as an accountant. As a young man, he began his membership with the Anchor and Arc Masonic Lodge # 1027 in Illinois; he attained the title of Master Mason; was recognized for 78 years of membership and served as Past Master in 1939. Edward was also a shriner. He was very involved in the preservation of the arts, serving as a president of an art guild, creating art from copper and other materials. He also loved performing in plays and did so often.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lena (Bluem) Twentyman.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Ann (Cleave) Twentyman; daughters and sons in-law, Lynne and DeWayne Whitmer, Vicki Adams, Cynthia and David Yackle; son and daughter in-law, Cleave and Jennifer Twentyman; brother, Chester Twentyman; grandchildren, Kyle and Kirk Patrick, Kelly Schweitzer, Lisa Lambie, Danielle Yackle, Deanna Kercher, Katie, Troy and Amanda Twentyman ; great grandchildren, Kyra, Eli, Alex, Grace, Jack, Paul David and Molly.

Memorial services will take place in the Millburn Cemetery in Illinois at a time to be determined.
