KINGSPORT - Boyd Allen Harris, 43, Myron Street, was pronounced dead on arrival Sunday (April 29, 2001) at Holston Valley Medical Center of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County (Kingsport) and attended Dobyns-Bennett High School. He was employed at Daniels Construction Company as a carpenters helper.
He attended Resurrection Fellowship Church.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Withers Harris, Kingsport; stepdaughter, Lynette McNabb, Kingsport; stepson and his wife, Todd Ide and wife, Carrie, Kingsport; his parents, Billy C. Harris and Willie Mae Ferrell Harris, Kingsport; three stepgrandchildren, Kelsie Ide, Logan Ide and Blake McNabb; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Victor McKay Harris and wife, Lisa, Kingsport, and Randal Wade Harris and wife, Gretchen, Parris, Ala.; half-brother, Ula Lee McConnell and wife, Chrystle, Kingsport; and a nephew, Brandon Harris, Kingsport.
Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Brad Dennison and the Rev. Steve Hooper officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Fall Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Victor Harris, Randall Harris, Brandon Harris, Jon Diehr, Freddie Redman and Frank Carswell.
