James W. Kolkedy, 81, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009. He was born the youngest of six children to Louis Sr. and Anna Kolkedy on October 4, 1927 in Glen Robbins, Oh. James joined the US Army during WWII and served with the Reserves before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel on October 4, 1987. He worked as an Insurance Manager with Nationwide Insurance for 35 years. James took an active role in the Pickerington Senior Center before moving to Jacksonville and living at Cypress Village. James is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Betty Kolkedy; daughters, Cheryl and Jay Anderholm and Karen Kolkedy; grandchildren, Kevin, Ricky, and Rebecca Anderholm. A Funeral Service will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday, March 9, at Ponte Vedra Valley, 4750 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. with interment to follow at 10 a.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, Fla. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Pickerington Senior Center.
