EMC US NAVY WORLD WAR II KOREA, VIETNAM
Maurice H. Warner, 80, passed away October 22, 2006, at home, following a lengthy illness. Born in Harrodsburg, Kentucky Nov. 8, 1925, he joined the Navy in 1946 and served two tours of duty during WWII. He retired in 1966 as an Electricians Mate, SCPO. Upon his retirement, he joined Westinghouse as an Electrical Engineer, retiring in 1990. He was a charter member of the VFW, Harrodsburg, KY and member of the American Legion. His hobbies included playing golf, playing with his grandsons and dog FiFi, and building a Barracuda airplane which is now on display at the Sun & Fun Flight Museum in Lakeland, FL. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Suzanne W. Logue and brother, J.R. Warner. Survivors include his wife, Alice; daughter, Linda Warner, FL; son, Eugene E. Warner (Carol) Galien, MI; step-children, Kathy Dennehy (Bud), Nicholas John Gutierrez (Tammy), Tracy Gutierrez (Jodi), Vicky Brannen (Stanley), and Deb Hoegen (Patrick); brother, Billy Warner, FL; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25th, in the Chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd., with Wailon Haston officiating. Full military honors will immediately follow the service. For those who prefer, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.

"Alice (Maurice) Garland Warner" is mentioned in Alice's mother's, Sophia Reichwald's (Guzikowski) obituary-Chicago, 12 Mar 1982. Alice's obituary, also in the Chicago Tribune, 22 Jun 1997 states, "Alice D. Warner, nee Guzikowski, beloved wife of Maurice…." Maurice, survived her, and according to the Florida, U.S. Marriage Indexes, 1927-2001 he married Alice Mason Gutierrez on 8 Feb 2001. His obituary states that his wife, Alice, survives him. She would be the referenced "Alice" and not his deceased wife, Alice Guzikowski/Cichy Garland Warner, Memorial 247441969. Additional information may be obtained from the Bio section of that memorial.
