Martha E. Douthitt, age 81, of Leitchfield, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2009 in Leitchfield.
She was born November 28, 1927. She was a retired Candeler for Sungold Egg Co.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hayward L. Douthitt; a son, Douglas Douthitt; her parents, James and Barbara Hilton Pawley; granddaughter and grandson, Angela Brooks and Sherman Simpson; two brothers, and one sister.
She is survived by four sons, Larry Douthitt of Leitchfield, Allen Douthitt of Caneyville, Ky., Kenny Douthitt of Shepherdsville, Ky., and Terry Douthitt of Leitchfield; two daughters, Linda Brooks of Bowling Green, Ky. and Brenda Simpson of Benton, Ky.; one brother, Elmer Pawley of Leitchfield; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2009 at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home, in Clarkson, Ky., with Bro. Jimmy Douthitt officiating.
Burial will be in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday, from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
