Uncle Tillman was born March 20, 1910 in Vian, Oklahoma. Tillman worked as a Toolpusher for Beckman, Inc., for 30 years. Ill never forget Uncle Tillman called my dad one day and said he was bringing "the boys" a surprise. When Tillman got to our house we all ran out to see what our surprise was. Uncle Tillman had taken the back seat of his car out so his passanger, a baby Shetland Pony could ride with him. My dad, Edward Vernon Byrum was Tillman's brother.
Tillman liked one day having worked for Beckman, Inc., for 30 years. Tillman had one more day before he retired, but he died in his sleep of a massive heart attack, he was 63 years old.
Everyone should have an uncle like Tillman! He has been greatly missed by many, but I think especially by me. I was priviliged to have been named after this amazing, great and gentle man.
