Eva Maria Bursley/Beardsley was born 21 Jun 1853 in Georgetown Township, Ottawa County, Michigan, the second child of Liberty Tanner Bursley/Beardsley (1853 - 1905) and Maria Bathsheba Scott (1817-1872), daughter of Jonathan Scott and Rachel Wheeler Cook.

Eva married John M. Larkins, 1 November 1880, Georgetown Township, Ottawa County, Michigan. Mr. Larkins was born 02 Dec 1845 a native of Summit County, Ohio.

After marriage the couple resided at Long Lake, near Traverse City. Several years later they moved to Bingham, Leelanau County, Michigan. In both of these places John owned and managed a large waymill. They moved to Traverse City about 1898 where Mr. Larkins engaged in the coal business. John died 20 June 1908 in Traverse City, Grand Traverse County, Michigan where he was buried at Oakwood Cemetery.

John and Eva Larkins had one daughter, Ida Maria, b. 21 Nov 1883. She graduated from the Traverse City High School; then spent one year at the University of Chicago; and finally spent three years in the study of music at Hope College, Holland, Michigan.

On June 23, 1914 at Traverse City, Michigan she was united in marriage to Lowell Morse. Mr. Morse was also a graduate of the Traverse City High School. Immediately after their marriage they went to make their home on a large ranch near Dewdrop, Saskatchewan, Canada and were very shortly joined her widowed mother, Mrs. Eva Maria Larkins.

Ida Larkins Morse died 27 April 1916 near Dewdrop, Saskatchewan, Canada leaving a daughter, Elise Margaret born 27 April 1916. According to Oakwood Cemetery records, Ida and her husband Lowell are both buried in Traverse City, Michigan at Oakwood cemetery.

Eva M. Larkins died 24 September 1928, age 74 years, 3 months, 2 days, at her home in Traverse City, Grand Traverse County, Michigan, USA
