Weaverville - John Henry Metcalf, 47, died Sunday, July 12, 1998.
A native of Madison County, he had lived in Buncombe County for the past 32 years. He was a retired lineman for CPL. He was the son of the late Fred Metcalf.
Survivors are his mother, Lucille Hylemon Metcalf; daughters, Beckie and Heidi; three sisters, Hazel, Betty and Ruth; brother, Bill; two grandchildren.
