Dodson's brother dropped her off at the restaurant, but when he returned to pick her up about an hour later, she was gone.
Dodson's family didn't reported the blond-haired, blue-eyed woman missing until 10 days later, because she would disappear at times and then return.
Chesterfield County police said skeletal remains found August 18, 2009 by maintenance workers, at the Falling Creek Apartments in the 2500 block of Marina Drive, in a wooded area near a service road, are those of a woman missing more than eight years. Pamela Sue Dodson was identified based on the skeletal remains.
Police said it was uncertain what killed Pamela Sue Dodson and that they are continuing to investigate the circumstances of her death.
Both of Dodson's parents are dead. She is survived by two daughters, one now in her 20s; a brother; a and sister.
