Jerry Lee Kirby, Grove, Okla., passed into eternal rest at 1:10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at his home after an illness.
Jerry Lee Kirby was born July 2, 1939, in Galena, Kan., the son of Clifton and Joyce (LaVada) Kirby.
Jerry worked for Honeywell in Phoenix, Ariz., as a machinist.
Jerry married Phyllis Hoover in Seneca, Mo., in 1970. She survives.
Jerry and Phyllis had lived in Arizona from 1979 to 1995.
They moved to Claremore, Okla., in 1995 and in 2005, they moved to Grove.
Additional survivors include five brothers, Gene Kirby, Tom Kirby and Eddie Kirby, all of California, Mike Kirby, Arizona, and Rick Kirby, Washington.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Joyce; his stepfather, Duane Samuels; and brothers, Donald Kirby, Johnny Kirby and Bobby Kirby.
The body has been taken for cremation.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice, 2084 South Main, Grove, OK 74344.
