Michael Paul Allen, 51 of Galena, KS died at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday August 18, 2009 at his home in Galena.
He was born September 17, 1957 in Columbus, KS the son of Paul and Dorothy (Zwahlen) Allen. He lived most of his life in the southeast Kansas area. He attended schools in Columbus and graduated in 1976 from Joplin High School.
Michael worked as a welder for Able Body in Joplin. He was a member of the Galena Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his companion Phyllis Sizemore of the home; his mother Dorothy (Zwahlen) Brock of Branson, MO, his father and step mother Paul and Dorothy Allen of Galena; a brother Steve Allen and wife Sally of Springfield, MO; 2 sisters Patty Sutton and husband Mark of Wagoner, OK, Kathy Denny and husband Don of Columbus; 2 nieces Corrie Fenscke and Haleigh Denny, a nephew Casey Sutton, 2 Great-nieces Kallie and Kenna Fenscke; 2 steps-sons Steve and Dustin Blazer and 2 step-grandsons Isaac and Nicholas Blazer.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday August 21, 2009 at the First Christian Church in Columbus, KS with Associate Pastor Jeff Wary officiating.
